Hi there! Welcome to Saturday Styles, your weekly guide to practical, relevant, and sleek product recommendations. Here are my top picks this week based on what I’ve been loving for my clients, my closet, and everyday upgrades.
*A black blazer is a staple in any wardrobe, but the fit, fabric, and thoughtful styling elevate it from basic to bold, making for a piece that ideally will move through your seasons of life with you. Whether it's for a day at the office, a night out, or a casual weekend look, the right black blazer can transform an outfit. I reach for mine regularly—as shown above, on the left for client meetings, on the right for a smart casual event recently, I even wore this blazer on my most recent flight (no, I don’t travel in athleisure unless I’m flying +6 hours contiguously).
This edit showcases my top ten picks—blazers I not only wear frequently but also recommend to clients for their versatility, quality, and timeless nature.
Collarless Blazer
This was gifted to me recently, and I have to say, the moment I slipped it on, it fit like a glove. Which is rare, especially for blazers (I often have to size up for my broader shoulders & shorten the sleeve length). It’s the jacket I’m wearing in the lead-in photos of this post. Lightweight enough to wear year-round, it’s more of a velvet color than a dark true black and has a subtle tonal weave. The best part — the notched collar. A cool detail that makes this feel far from the old school workwear horse of this silhouette. Take your normal size. Me+Em Textured Collarless Tailoring Blazer — $495
Seasonless Staple
Great for anyone taller than 5’ 7” — this blazer from my favorite suiting brand, Argent, is cut in a slightly longer tapered style to hit the waist at the right point. Some subtle stretch is integrated into the elevated, Italian suiting wool blend. Someone recently shared with me at the event we hosted with this brand that they supersedes Veronica Beard (another one featured below, BTW) and Theory regarding price and quality. Take your normal size in their blazers. Argent Single Button Blazer in Seasonless Wool — $395

Closet Workhorse
She’s an oldie and goodie. I’ve had this blazer in many colors in my closet, and it’s a favorite in many others’ closets. Take your normal size in this jacket. The great news is that it comes in classic and tall sizing options. Another jacket with a collar that feels elevated and unique. J.Crew Regent Blazer — $169.50
Fitted Jacket
Great for petites and women who are shorter-waisted. Made with a four-way-stretch, which means it moves really well with and on you. If you’re shorter than 5’5,” you might need to shorten the sleeves (a very doable alteration that I recommend frequently and is worth it IMO). Take your standard size. The buttons don’t have to be closed up if you don’t want to wear it that way, but this will drape with a clean cut and polished finish. L’Agence Marie Slim-Fit Blazer — $625
The Dickey
This jacket is a staple in many of my client’s closets. She comes in classic colors with silver and gold button options, so you can pick your flavor based on what works best for you. I’ve dressed women in this jacket who’ve worn all the sizes available; that should say something about a silhouette. It’s more universal than may meet the eye. Take your normal size or consider sizing up if you have broader shoulders or want more room in the arms. The bonus is that you can zip in their dickeys, which makes this a more casual piece. Versatility always wins. Veronica Beard Miller Dickey Blazer — $695
Scuba Detail
Scuba is a material that feels polished and can move a piece from casual to creative with the subtle change of layering elements. Strong piece for the price, this style also has a zip-in option to incorporate a dickey. Wear with jeans or slip dresses/skirts. Love the zipper pockets on this, too; it again gives a classic piece something more interesting to work with. Take your standard size. Quince Women’s Scuba Single Breasted Convertible Blazer — $99.90
Day to Evening
Another piece I was gifted from the brand; they offered me the chance to select, and I picked this one on purpose. My intent: to build upon my existing black blazer collection with a piece that felt a little different and a little more special. It’s certainly a more polished professional piece that transfers into evening with so much ease. I wore it styled with their slip dress and belted over the jacket. The slightly longer length, viscose-satin blend and covered buttons make this a piece for special moments. I’ll also wear it with jeans and sneakers with a graphic tee this spring. That’s the beauty of black blazers. Take your normal size. Argent Double-Breasted Blazer in Viscose Satin Twill — $595

Draped + Ruched
Another hero for petite sizing! The unstructured crepe-like blend with ruched sleeves looks phenomenal on all women, but in particular, this piece lives in multiple colorways/prints in closets of my clients who need petite centered pieces. Take your standard size. Cinq a Sept Women’s Khloe Krepe Ruched Blazer — $395
Ponte Stretch
This jacket is one of the ultimate cool styles that pairs well with track pants and sneakers to a skinny jeans and booties. It’s a stretch ponte material so it travels well, too. The buttons and collar ooze effortless and strong. Take your standard size. Rag & Bone Slade Blazer — $371.25
Chic Investment
Splurge worthy — clients who are interested in brands that are “of the moment” can look right at this slightly oversized jacket from Toteme. Take your normal size, but keep a few things in mind with oversized — make sure the sleeves are not too long and that the shoulders fit you well, otherwise it will look like you’re wearing a borrowed shirt from the guys closet that doesn’t give Risky Business vibes, instead, it feels more like a painters smock from elementary school. Toteme Single-Breasted Blazer — $960

Fantastic edit of what (to the naked eye) is seemingly a simple blazer — you can never have too many styles.
Great breakdown of the various silhouettes!
